Deaf people can "rewire brains"

Interesting article from the BBC about the power of the brain and what happens when you don't use parts of it.  People with hearing loss likely have a better visual field.  

This has always been my theory about young children learning language and why it is critical to frontload all services to take advantage of early brain development.
