1. We are mesmerized! What a delightful communicator Lily is!
2. We continue to observe increased abstraction in her ideas and language use:
a. "I wonder who's coming."
b. "No, I'm just pretending."
c. "I think we are all ready."
Use of mental terms and phrases following them.
d. Because logically following why.
3. We notice that your clarification strategy is now a question (what did you say?), which gives Lily a chance to clarify her speech.
4. More advancement in pronouns. Today we heard: everyone, we, they, their, own, along with others we have heard before.
5. Imagination and pretending are so sophisticated.
a. Pick scenes and imaging events.
b. "And a rolling pin, in case we need to roll it out" (language for planning her play) Imaginary bakery.
* Questioning about others: "Do you like hot dogs?"
6. Excellent growth in grammar - length, complexity, marking word endings and past tense.
7. Vocabulary sophistication and elaborated description.
a. "On a bright sunny day"
b. "Teeny tiny little babies"
c. "a meal"
d. "accessories"
8. Time concepts - before, one o'clock, I'm gonna check what time it is.
